Rehabilitation Assistant

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of current Rehabilitation Standards of Practice
• Knowledge & experience with cross-cultural practices
• Good computer literacy, with ability to use various software programs
• Good organizational & prioritization skills
• Good communications skills, both verbally & written
• Ability to work cooperatively as a team member, as well as alone
• Ability to take direction and to seek help/advice when required
• Good flexibility, and able to multi-task when needed
• Able to demonstrate effective problem solving & judgment
• Physically able to lift & transfer clients and to perform all other job responsibilities
• Current CPR certification
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s license

This level of knowledge is acquired through graduation from an accredited Canadian Rehabilitation Assistant program. Experience in a hospital/health centre is considered an asset.
