Based in Iqaluit, NU, and reporting to the Manager, Rehabilitation Service, you’ll be responsible for decisions regarding all aspects of client care in physiotherapy, assessment, and treatment programs, as well as clinical supervision of Community Therapy Assistants.

As a Physiotherapist, you’ll indicate your assessment findings, analysis, treatment, response to treatment, and discharge planning in the patient’s chart. Charting should follow Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of a Canadian Provincial College, the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), and the Department of Health by responding to referrals from physicians, nurses, Community Health Centres, allied health professionals, team members, Ottawa Health Services Networks Inc. (OHSNI), and individuals.

Fluency in more than one of Nunavut’s Official Languages (Inuktitut, Inuinnaqtun, English, and French).
Knowledge of the Inuit language, communities, culture and land, and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit.

This position is included in the Nunavut Employees Union and offers a salary of $99,743 per annum (for 37.5 hours/week), plus a Northern Allowance of $15,016 per annum.
