THRIVE Child Development Centre/Centre de développement de l’enfant is an incorporated, non-profit Children’s Treatment Centre employing over 50 staff made up of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Social Workers, Therapy Assistants, Early Childhood Educators and Administrative support staff. We provide inter-disciplinary pediatric rehabilitation, respite care coordination, an on-site inclusive child care program and resource support to community child care centres in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District. Our philosophy of service delivery upholds family involvement and enablement as an integral part of effective intervention. Our services support the long-term outcomes of community participation and quality of life.

If you are seeking a dynamic and challenging role in supporting the motor development of children and youth with a variety of physical, developmental and communicative challenges, THRIVE has a position for you. Using a family-centred, strengths-based approach, you will join our experienced and dedicated professional staff to provide a range of assessment, intervention and community based services.

We currently require a Physiotherapist on a permanent, full-time basis. This position supports children & youth in Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding areas throughout the District of Algoma. As the successful candidate, you will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy, be eligible for membership in the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle. The successful candidate requires valid First-Aid and CPR certification. The ability to provide services in both official languages (French-English) would be an asset. This position may be based out of either our Sault Ste. Marie or Elliot Lake branch offices.
